Japanese Xuan Paper (Machine Made)
The history of this paper goes back from 1326-1328. The smooth texture is used for writing scriptures and documents and even paintings by noble men. In order to adapt in changing times, aside from being produced by hand, machine made papers also became available. Because the main raw material of this paper is the bark (skin), the paper texture is soft, stable and shiny. This paper is widely used for Chinese calligraphy.
